What happens if you disturb termites?
If you spot termites in your home DO NOT disturb them. Do not treat them yourself with regular sprays. Do not touch or try to handle termites or their nests. If termites feel threatened they will move to another spot. This will not stop them from damaging your property. It will make it harder for us to find them during the termite inspection and treatment.
If you find signs of termites, notice termite activity or discover live termites themselves, it is highly recommended that you contact your local pest controller and arrange a termite inspection and termite treatment as soon as possible.
Ignoring a termite infestation is the last thing you should do. The cost to Australian homes for termite damage is devastating. A small termite colony can turn into a larger problem very quickly. Termites will not just eat outside, around your garden. Termites will find their way into your home, start eating doors and windows, sub-flooring and even your roof support. This can happen in mere weeks.
Our professional termite controllers will control the termite attack using well-placed baiting systems and treating to Australian Standards. Precision Pest Control’s pest manager will be happy to keep you informed with great communication the entire time.
Keep an eye out for signs such as mud tubes and seeing ‘white ants’. More examples of signs of termites can be found in our extensive list.
